The HMRC appeal to House of Lords on the Jones v Garnett case (better known as Arctic Systems case) is now listed for the Michaelmas Term (Monday 2 October to Thursday 21 December 2006) but is not in the diarised hearings for the term - so either it is not going to happen before Christmas after all (and hence will leave another year's tax returns up in the air as the next term Hilary only starts about mid Jan) or they will squeeze it in if another case takes less time than allocated - this seems unlikely for such a complicated case
